Fashion Designers of Sacramento was founded by Constance Agee, President and Owner. Fashion Designers of Sacramento is a members based organization currently providing trade education, marketing and advertising for fashion designers and future fashion designers. We are also the leading organization in the business of training high school students who aspire to pursue a career in the Apparel Industry. We are currently the only fashion trade organization in the Sacramento area that was created for support of fashion designers as well as the only organization that has a specific program for high school students education in the Apparel Industry.

Fashion Designers of Sacramento has a vision of becoming the most sought after apparel trade organization that bring support to local designers and educates their youth to become leaders in the industry through a free apprenticeship training program. This program will be the strength of the organization bringing notoriety  and support from the community.

Fashion Designers of Sacramento's mission and purpose is to bring notoriety, support, education and recognition to our creative talent in the valley.

 

Connie Marie created FDOS as a support for designers such as herself who are always looking for ways to make a statement in the fashion industry.  Her passion and love for the industry led her to start the trade organization not only as a support for professional designers but also for future designers in Sacramento.  Because of her desire to open the doors of opportunity to anyone interested in the fashion industry, the company has implemented an apprenticeship training program for teens that have a desire to become fashion designers.  As part of the company’s community commitment, the program is free to teens and is held on Saturdays.

 

Phillip is Assistant Director and is one of the principle leaders of Fashion Designers of Sacramento. Phillip has many years of business experience determining business requirements and testing and implementing system enhancements to support customer business processes. His ability to leverage analytical, project management and consulting skills is key to helping guide FDOS into the future of Fashion Design.

 

 

 

Lisa Grath brings 35 years of sewing experience and training credentials to Fashion Designers os Sacramento. In Addition to many years of sewing experience and training, Lisa's most resent experience comes from her position as lead seamstress for Couturshion fashion designers, a local design group. Lisa held the responsibility of supervising multiple sample makers in the construction process for garments in all Fashion shows for the group. Lisa will hold the position of Head of Construction under the community apprenticeship training program and is responsible for the direction and training of all construction classes.
