Apprenticeship Program
Fashion Designers of Sacramento provides an Apprenticeship training program
for teens interested in pursuing a career in the Apparel Industry. This program is a community program and is therefore free to
teen students. The program is designed to respond to the challenges associated with the educational systems need for career opportunities upon high school graduation in the area of Apparel Design and Manufacturing. The program focus on designing and take their ideas from concept to consumer through pattern drafting and construction.
The program will open its doors starting September 8, 2007 and will run until May 24, 2008. Because of the overwhelming interest in the program, classes will be limited to 10 students and acceptance to the program will be based on application and lottery selection. Students are required to attend an interview accompanied by their parent as part of the selection process. No interview will be given without child and parent.
This is a free program. Classes are held on Saturdays only. The location and specific time for class will be determined and announced to selected students and parents once the selection process has ended.
We encourage all interested students to apply regardless of experience or other challenges.
Deadline for applications is August 17, 2007. For a program packet email us at myspecialstudents@fdos-sac.com
